Bhuvaneswari is an Indian model, film and television actress.[1] She is known for her work in South Indian cinema and in television.[2] She has received critical acclaim for her antagonist roles in several soap operas.[3] She rose to stardom with the 2003 Tamil film, Boys in which she played Rani, the prostitute.[4][5] Kurkure is her first film in a lead role.[6]
Tamil actress Bhuvaneswari and four men were arrested by the Chennai police for their involvement in prostitution in 2009. According to news sources, she was allegedly running this racket from her apartment at Adayar in Chennai.
